They are,

                   Thiruvannamalai

                   Gingee Fort

                   Rock Fort ( Trichy )

                   Pallavar Rock Cavecut ( Rock Fort Trichy )


Thiruvannamalai

                    Thiruvannamalai is located in Tamil Nadu and is reownable for its deep spritual significance and its cultural heritage.

                         IT is the home for famous Arunachaleeshwarar temple

                       IN this picture we see the Rajagopuram of The Temple

         During  The Light Festival ( kaarthigai dhepam ) in Tamil Nadu A massive Dheepam will be lighted on the top of the hill every year 


Gingee Fort

                     The fort was located in the villupuram district of Tamil Nadu, INDIA. The fort was also known as Chanchi , jinji , chenji , senji .

                      The Shivaji Maharaj ranked it as the ''Most impregnable fortress  in INDIA'', it was also called as the  ''Troy of the East" by British.

      It is one of the surviving fort in Tamil Nadu.

 

Architecture,

   The complex of the fort was on the three hillocks Krishnagiri in North Rajagiri in west and chandrayandurg in southwest

                       On connecting the three hills they form a massive triangle.

   The fort walls are 13 km (8.1 mi) and the three hills are connected by walls enclosing an area of 11 square kilometres (4.2 sq mi)

          It was built at a height of 800 feet (240 m) and protected by a 80 feet (24 m) wide moat. It has a seven-storeyed Kalyana Mahal (marriage hall).

Rock Fort ( Trichy )

                           The Rock Fort towers over the city of Tiruchirappalli and is built with rocks that are believed to be over a billion years old

 

                           Standing at a proud height of 275 ft, the fort was constructed by the Nayaks, who ruled between the 14th and 15th centuries.

               There was a Vinayaga sanctum in the top of the Rock

                 It is reached by a step flight of 437 steps cut into the rock. Halfway up is the Sri Thayumanaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Pallavar Rock Cavecut ( Rock Fort , Trichy )

 

                 After returned from the vinayaga temple we saw a signboard directing to the Pallavar Rock Cavecut.

                            After reaching the cavecut I spotted many sculptures of Tamil Gods.

      There was a tunnel in that place which connects the place           and divides as Three routs which goes to Naarthamalai , thanjavur and                .

Porpanaikottai

                          According to Archeological Department of INDIA 

Porpanaikottai was one of the Historical monument of INDIA

                          Their was a fort on Porpanaikottai that spread over 17.25 Hectares and the archeological research were done over 2.25 Hectares

                                 Sittanavasal was one of the tourist spot of our district 

                                 The place was famous for Cave Paintings

Thirumayam Fort 


                          The fort was built over for a 40 acre land 

                           

           

                             The fort was built by Regunatha Sethupathy

                  IT is located in Thirumayam ( town in pudukkottai )

Near the Karaikudi Highway

 


 

                              There was a canon on the top of the fort used by british to capture the south power


                  Kattabomman's brother Oomathurai was Founded here and hanged by british.

                  There are six more cannons mounted in the north, south and east gates.

 

 Aavudaiyar Kovil 

                

                 Aavudaiyar kovil ( known as thiruperundhurai )

                 IT was one of the spot which reprfesented on tamil literatures a   256 paadal petra Isthalam

                This temple was also take places in Kavichakravarthy kamban's literal songs

                                       Avudaiyar Koil temple is located in the small town named Avudaiyarkoil, which is around 14 kms from Aranthangi city of Pudukkottai district in Tamil Nadu state, India. The temple attracts hundreds of devotees and tourists daily. Avudaiyar Koil temple is attractive not only due to spiritual reasons, but also due to its architecture and sculpture. The entire Avudaiyarkoil town has been declared as 'heritage town' by the government. Even though the temple is famously referred as Avudaiyar Koil, the name of the temple is Athmanatha Swamy Temple. The original temple is believed to be built by Manickavasakar in the 8th century AD.

                           The temple was built by 10 th Century Chozhas and further extended by Pandyas

Naarthamalai 

                       As per some accounts, the temple is believed to have been built by the first king of Medieval Cholas, Vijayalaya Chola (848- 891 CE), but the view is highly debated. As per the inscriptions, immediately after the construction, the temple was damaged by rains and lightning.

Historical importance:

                       During the period of Chozhas Granite stones were carved for the hills of naarthamalai
